Vaccine requirement reflects company’s commitment to industry well-being best practices
Custom Home Care announced that all employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The requirement reflects Custom Home Care’s commitment to protect its clients, their families, employees and healthcare partners from the ongoing threat posed by the COVID-19 virus.
Tamara Jackson, RN, Custom Home Care owner and founder said, “Studies show vaccines work, even against the new variants. The health and safety of our clients, their families and our employees is our highest priority. Requiring our employees to be vaccinated as part of their responsibilities supports our commitment to industry best practices. Since the onset of the pandemic, Custom Home Care has been a leader in the industry for care of COVID-19+ clients, testing of all employees, and safety precautions to keep our clients and caregivers healthy.”
Custom Home Care provided vaccine education, support and access to its employees. The company has hosted virtual vaccine education programs for its caregivers led by its Director of Nursing, Connie Lord, RN. Through a strategic partnership with a local lab, Custom Home Care instituted weekly COVID-19 testing of caregivers during the pandemic and through the vaccination push.
“We are pleased to announce that 100% of our active employees are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. I am proud of their commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of our clients,” said Jackson. “While just about 51% of Chicago is fully vaccinated, it requires everyone working together to protect our most vulnerable seniors.”
